A) This working essential question meets the rule of 3 criteria, because it is not a yes or no answer. Also is easy to spread the answer into a large range. And the question is easy to read, and is simply straight to the point.
B) Does not meet the rule of 3 criteria because the word securing can be replaced with a much more understandable word. And the questions does not call for depth in the topic.
C) Yes, this is a good example of a working essential question that reaches the rule of 3 criteria, offers easy proof that to answer this depth is necessary. Also the wording is great, no confusion is made when reading it.
D)  The working EQ does meet all requirements of the rule of 3 criteria. The topic is stated clearly within the question, and also the question can only be answered with a lot of work in research and service learning.
