Blog 17: Fourth Interview

1. what sprinkler head do you believe is the most efficient for a warehouse?

2. why do you believe that sprinkler head's design is ideal, as in the spray area and psi?

3. do you think that ESFR sprinklers are not nesessary in every installation? 

4. which one do you believe is more effective and why, a larger sprinkler head or a smaller sprinkler head with a larger water exertion?  

5. how do you think the fire sprinkler's design changed over time?

6.  for its own time period, which one do you believe was most effective?

7. why? bulb or trigger sprinkler head?

8. in an article it is said that bulbs react faster because the triggers joint burns slower, why do you agree or disagree? 

9. how expensive are the sprinkler heads portion in comparison to the rest of the project?

10. for an average warehouse do you think its more affordable to use ESFR sprinkler?

11. ESFR sprinkler use thinner piping resulting a cheaper project correct?

12. piping is my second answer, and i was wondering i should approach it as in a material manner or production manner?

13. is it cheaper to custom all projects all pipes or order them?

14. why is dry pipe cheaper than wet pipe fire sprinkler installations on average?

15. what are some ways of reducing the risk of a worst case senario sprinkler head?

16. is it true nothing lasts for ever?

17. what are the set backs from constructing the entire order on the job site besides over time?

18. are there a lot of new information that the NFPA 13 is missing in comparison to the NFPA 14? if so what are some examples?

19. there is a certain amount of cut backs you can make before the quality is effected, where is this point?

20. which combo is better wet pipe with ESFR or dry pipe with ESFR?

  1. How did you become interested in the field of fire protection?
  2. What did you do to become involved and take a step forward to working in the field?
  3. Where did you go to college/university to purse your career?
  4. How many years did you graduate from college and/or university, was there any difficult units to take?
  5. With what degree did you graduate with, how did it help you in your business? 
  6. Where you start your business? how did you decided to start one? any inspirations or drive?
  7. How many years do you have in the industry/ field? 
  8. Have there been changes in the field during your time working, if any what are they?
  9. What projects are you most proud of that your company has done

Blog 4 Interview Preparation

Title: Blog 4 Interview Preparation

1.  who do you plan to interview? why?

I plan on interviewing Jesus Vazquez. Jesus works for the fire protection industry, he has many years of experience. Jesus has connections with two fire protection companies, Advanced Fire Protection owned by Jorge Vazquez and Advanco Fire Protection owned by Rigoberto Vazquez. I could network with these companies to gain much more knowledge to answer my future essential question. 

2. You have to ask 5 questions. what additional questions do you plan to ask?

     1) Tell me what aspects of fire protection make the duty difficult?

     2) What changes in the fire sprinklers did you experience?

     3) Which fire sprinkler do you see being the most well rounded? why?

     4) How did you become involved with Fire Protection?
